Task 3.  Search the web and present the information you found about hydroelectricity production

In the web site of World Energy Research which is a private company advertises the use of hydroelectricity in favour of environment. It says that “Today, this source of energy is being explored and used unlike any other time in history. In recent years, many places have pointed to this as a natural source of energy to help reduce emissions and to help the environment.”

The second is a table shows the share and importance of hydroelectricity in the US.

The 3rd articles lists the pros and cons reagrding hydroelectricity. As a final conclusion, it emphasizes that “Going through the hydroelectric energy pros and cons makes us understand that although there are no major disadvantages in producing energy this way, there are a few drawbacks when it comes to construction of dams and the power plant. However, it still remains an excellent and inexpensive source of producing electricity.”

Hydroelectricity power plants are safer than nuclear power plants because they do not generate nuclear radiations during the process. Hydroelectric power plants are more efficient and predictable as compared to wind power plants.
